To that end, we will implement: (1) the establishment of objective and effective method covering wide area for implementing assessment of paddy rice damage by drought, flood and pest and disease, making full use of spatial information such as satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), geographic information system (GIS) and ground survey data, (2) the integration of current assessment methods and new methods and the implementation of the integrated methods, (3) the construction of information infrastructure necessary for operation and improvement of damage assessment methods, and (4) capacity development related to the development and operation of damage assessment methods. Through this project, economic damages caused by climate change to agricultural producers can be expected to reduce in Indonesia, enabling the establishment of an agriculture production support system, and thus contributing to the food security in the end.
